You Are Not Alone

It is normal to experience shock when a relationship breaks down. Even if things were "rocky" for quite a while, the decision to separate or divorce can still appear to have come out of the blue.

For many of us it is difficult to accept that the relationship is over, especially if the relationship breakdown was gradual.

Deciding to separate or divorce is one of the toughest decisions we ever make, and although often supportive family and friends can end up take sides, Children too often feel very angry when their parents separate and frequently get sucked into either the parents' conflict, taking sides, or siding with one parent.

It is sad but true that many of us carry issues from previous relationships into new ones. Most people are familiar with the government statistic that one in three marriages ends in divorce, but what you may not know is that a very high proportion of these divorces or separations are second or subsequent marriages.

This is not what any of us originally planned when we first married and the costs to us both financially and emotionally are enormous.

new start.. is a ten week divorce and separation recovery course and is designed to help you understand how your relationship ended and work through the mixture of emotions that comes with separation or divorce. Our course is for any-one who has ended a relationship; you do not have to have been in a marriage or be legally separated. Based in Hinckley town centre, it is within easy reach for people living or working in Leicestershire and Warwickshire.

The course enables people to understand why their relationship ended and to work through the emotional fallout. The course is not about re-establishing an old relationship, but is a way of helping minimize the chances of further heartbreak and pain.

Each session runs for two hours once a week in the evening.
